Get ready, San Antonio! The beloved partnership between H-E-B and the San Antonio Spurs is back, and it's bigger and better than ever! This dynamic duo is tipping off the NBA season with fresh commercials, exciting fan events, and a whole lot of community love.
In a recent announcement, H-E-B revealed the launch of new commercials, starting with the first one, titled "The List," which premiered on October 18th, just days before the Spurs' season opener. The regular season officially begins on Tuesday, October 21st.
The commercial stars point guard De’Aaron Fox and the highly anticipated Victor Wembanyama. The scene unfolds as Fox asks Wembanyama if he needs anything from H-E-B. But here's where it gets fun: Wembanyama pulls out an incredibly long list, sending the Spurs Coyote into a comical scramble!
A second commercial is also in the works, featuring Wembanyama alongside Fox and guard Stephon Castle. Fans can catch these commercials on H-E-B's YouTube channel, social media, and on television.
"As two longstanding local brands, a love of our shared San Antonio roots and South Texas community is what drives our work together, and we feel grateful each season to share these moments of fun and fandom with our community, through such an iconic commercial series," said Becky Kimbro, senior vice president of brand engagement for the Spurs.
And this is the part most people miss... Starting with the season's opening week, H-E-B and the Spurs will be giving away regular-season game tickets, co-branded swag, and other exciting prizes to fans throughout San Antonio. Throughout the season, expect in-arena experiences and community activities at Spurs games, H-E-B stores, and across the city.
This collaboration, which began in 2004, has blossomed into a fan favorite. They've partnered on community projects, player appearances, and countless fan appreciation events.
“Each year, we look forward to partnering with the Spurs on these playful commercials as a way to entertain our fans at the start of the season,” said Ashwin Nathan, H-E-B group vice president of marketing.
