Well, I finally made it to Red Koi. And what an awesome experience! Great welcome by the hostess and greeted by our friendly server Priscilla right away! Excellent service, only the right questions asked without rushing our dinner. And what a delicious choices they have! Ours, pary of four, had soups and share few items from the entrée manu. Tbh, my Old Fashion was not the best. Who else orders OF in a Japanese place? Lol. Something with the indoor setup I didn’t like, feels too enclosed or too small. But I want to go back already!

Eating to Health

I enjoyed eating at Red Koi Japanese Cuisine. It was busy, so I sat at the bar to get seated right away. The bartender was very helpful. I have food allergies and the bartender made sure all my accommodations were met. He also suggested sauces I could have that were gluten free and vegan. They also have gluten free soy sauce, so they can cook the fried rice with it & bring it to the table for dipping sushi. I also got the habacci vegetable lunch with came with miso soup or salad, sauteed vegetables, and fried rice which I got with out the peas/carrots cause I can’t have carrots. They accommodated all of my allergies with no issues.

Food is not traditional. I prefere very traditional recipes, and better ingredients. I am not sure what I was eating, but it was definitely not like food in Japan. Very American in taste and flavor. Sushi could have been better quality. The soup was strange and tasteless and the house salad was very odd.

So I have eaten here like 6 times in one week I travel for work an when I find a place that’s really good like clean fresh tasty I go back an order different things an they are amazing best hibachi an sushi in one spot 10 out of 10

I have NEVER had a bad experience here until tonight. My waiter was horrible! My entire table was not ready to order but he took our orders separately (instead of waiting to take our order together). Well he forgot to put my order in and when I finally asked he said it was the back of house fault . He then brought me out cold food, while on the other hand my table was finished eating and ready to go home. No refills on any drinks either! Another waitress randomly walked by and asked did we want refills. The waiter guy with the curly hair is awful. He needs to wash dishes because being a waiter is not for him.

Don’t leave without trying the crawfish nachos! They’re a little spicy, but not overpowering! The ridgeway roll is awesome too!
